Tattoo Cost

Tattoo costs can range between $150-$200 per hour depending on the tattoo and the artist doing the tattoo.  It is best (and required) to have an in-person consultation about any piece of work due to possible size of the tattoo, size and shape of the canvas, complexity of the tattoo, details involved in the piece of art, and placement.

Payment

A deposit is required for an appointment, and all deposits must be made in cash.  The remaining balance of the tattoo and any tip that you would like to include can be paid in cash or with any Visa or Mastercard.  We do not accept American Express or Discover.  Please have payment ready at the completion of your tattoo, or at the end of your session.

Tip Your Tattoo Artist

There is a well defined difference between a tattooer and a tattoo artist.  Tattooing is a service much like waiting tables and such artistry deserves a good tip.  The artists are working hard to give you the best piece of art, so please take care of them.

Tips for a Tattoo Session

-Make sure to eat something prior to your appointment.

-Shower before your session and do not apply perfume, cologne or scented lotions to the area.

-Make sure to use the restroom before getting started.

-Do not bring your children or a lot of friends with you.  One person is okay for chatting.

-Do not drink alcoholic beverages or take any unnecessary medications prior to your appointment.

-If you are not well, please reschedule your appointment until you are feeling better.

-Dress comfortably and appropriately; consider the length of your appointment.

-Please be on time.  If you have to change your appointment for any reason, please call as soon as possible.

Tattoo Aftercare

Tattoo artists have varied approaches to tattoo aftercare, however, some pro tips:

Do not use A&D ointment.

Moisturize your skin with unscented hand lotion.

Drink plenty of water, because water helps to maintain the elasticity of skin.

Avoid alcoholic beverages as they can cause dehydration, which would be the opposite of hydrating your skin.

Avoid using cocoa butter, and any lotions, soaps, or shower gels that have microbeads or fragrances of any kind.

No direct sun for two weeks. Do not apply sunscreen to the tattoo.

Take short showers and do not swim or saturate your new tattoo.

Do not scratch or pick at it whatsoever.

Age Restrictions & Identification

You must be at least 18 or older to get a tattoo done at True Tattoo.  We do not accept anyone under 18, regardless of parental consent.  A physical photo ID in hand is required to get a tattoo.  We accept driver's license, passport or other state-issued identification (such as that of a correctional facility), but we cannot accept military IDs.  No children under 10 are allowed in the studio, and all children 10 or older must be accompanied by an adult who is receiving a consultation or a service.

We do not do Piercings

We do not do anything piercing related.  We don't have any advice at all and we don't sell jewelry, because we only do tattoos, because we're good at tattoos.
